In the late 1890's & the early 1900's NCR built these locking ticket boxes. They were used for charge slips, movie tickets & other buisness things. They normally had 2 sides in glass & 2 sides in cast iron. One side had the National logo in script cast into it & the other was sort of a rosset design.
This one had both glass sides broken & was very dirty. I took it apart to replace the glass but had extra cast panels so I made it all 4 sides cast panels, 2 with National & 2 with the rossetes. I clean it & most of the nickel came of but it came out a nice steel color.
