This is an unusual machine. When NCR started making the model 52, they used a solid metal top on the drawer. It was fancy phigreed like the rest of the machine. They later changed it to three sides of marble or milk glass. I'm fairly sure that this was a cost reduction change but a nice presentation. Under the marble was a sheet of metal just as a suport.
In this case, I think they had a fancy top left over from before the change. They milled the top edges off of the design and delivered it with marble. When I received it, the marble was gone and it had been painted many times over. I glass beaded it and it looked nice and was unusual. I'm offering it unrestored and without the marble. We can put the marble on it for an additional $200.
Note: the hinge has been replaced and the marble arrows are included.

In addition to the wide metal base, it has glass key checks & a gold coin box. if it was restored the cost would be around $4K. It works good and would be a good conversation item.

Grade 3 (average)
Price: $1,400
