This is a National 250. These were only built for two years, 1906 & 1907. The insides are almost the same as a 313 but there are plenty of 313's out there. This has been completely rebuilt inside and out. It is highly polished and lacquered for long lasting beauty. It was originally nickel plating. To polish it the nickel has to be removed. Under the nickel it was all bronze except for the drawer front and the back. The drawer front is solid nickel and the back is yellow brass. It is prohibitive to re-nickel a machine any more and the drawer front is original so I left it all the way it was. It really looks great the way it is
