Brass Cash Registers

National Model # 95 (Inv. 172-3)
S/N 276879Built: 1902
Age: 107 years old
Cabinet style: Empire
Finish: Nickel

This is a recent find for me. It's really an unusual machine for many reasons. The nickel plating is worn but for it's age it is still very nice. It has an original top sign but it is not for this machine. It came from a Dolphin series machine and was drilled & taped to fit this machine. This would be bad except that who ever did it stayed in the foot print of the original sign so if you happen to get an original it will cover the holes. I wouldn't bother changing it.
It has glass key checks. The original clock is rare even among clocks. It was used on this machine but also will fit on a top sign. It has a bell on & off knob above the clock. These are always missing. It doesn't work but is rare. It has 2 keys that have a partially broken spring but still work fine, "A" & 10 cent. It has the delivery tag on the bottom of the drawer and a framed news clipping came with it showing a "Going out of business sale".  The extra large drawer is good for a lot of money. Great machine.
