The model 12 is super rare & highly sought after. National started a series of nickel plated cast iron machine that ranged from the model "11" to the model "25". The cast iron machines didn't fare well in salty air & would rust. I don't know whether they had the foresight to build an all bronze machine right in the middle of this series because of this but non the less the model "12" is right in that range.

This one was originally nickel plated & after stripping the nickel off, everything but the drawer front was bronze. It has the early style metal coin slab, glass key check, bell stop screw on the left & an unusual reproduction 3 hump clock top sign with French lettering on the back. I know it is a reproduction but this is the only one that I have ever seen

It has been totally restored, highly polished & clear coated, key arm, locks, counter covers, S/N plate, etc. have all been nickel plated, the indication has been painted & lettered, base & drawer refinished & all mechanical problems solved.

This is another one from my personal collection.
