Brass Cash Registers

Inv. 243-2; National Model #3

Serial number: 11190
Date Built: 5-6-1889 It is 129 years old.
Cabinet Style: Mahogany wood

This is a real early National cash register detail adder style machine with a Mahogany wood cabinet. The cabinet doesn't have any inlay but has some very different carvings around the drawer front. Other than the very early building date it has an original Glass top sign. It has glass key checks, a 2 piece drawer pull (early), all original paper work & operating instructions on the underside of the drawer, 4 early bill weights in the drawer & a really rare personalized name plate on the back of the register. It didn't come with the register. I bought the name plate years ago & never found a register that it would fit on until I bought this register. The name plate fits & really looks great. It says "The Bee Hive". Note: the glass top sign & back sign are most of the value of this machine although the age is great.

This register operates well & seems to be all original. It has a few indicator flags that are broken off & I will send some indicators to replace them with but I can't do it at this time. It also has a small hole in the upper part of the lid. It was filled with paper wading (can be repaired). There is a lid counter on the inside of the lid & I think that an employee that was stealing cut the hole so he could prevent the lid counter from adding when he lifted the lid to change to totals??? I will include a repair DVD set & a book with the order.
